Remember to bring quart-size Ziploc bags to THR this Saturday!

Recommended Posts

Just a reminder -

Thunderhill Raceway has partnered with Operation Interdependence® – an organization that provides a means for delivering support in the form of civilian rations – to send goodies and notes from home to deployed forces. Through its 15 national shipping centers, OI® currently ships out to over 50,000 soldiers a month.

Drivers, teams and fans are asked to bring boxes of quart-size Ziploc baggies to THR this Saturday for the items that have already been donated by KTSA in San Antonio, Texas. Everyone – including the drivers and teams – will be asked to help in packaging the items to be shipped. And you're also encouraged to write some personal notes to the military that include information about your race teams or race interests.

Operation Interdependence® will also be joining the Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS) and Thunderhill Raceway to present the "Crossing the Line Together®" troop support event. This presentation includes a live satellite broadcast of the race that will be shown to troops in Iraq. Phones will also be provided to place free calls to the troops in Iraq throughout the evening.

Race teams have also been invited to show their patriotic spirit by participating in a “Red, White and Blue” competition that will recognize the team that exhibits the most patriotic support on a racing level.

We hope you'll do your part to show your support of our military this weekend.
