Joey Tschoerner beat teamate Kevin Bowen in the 20-lap Hobby Stock feature. No big wrecks but some close action as the leaders came upon a slower car on the last lap. A chain reaction ensued with Hobby points leader Rick Latimer getting the short end of the stick. Rick lost fire and coasted across the finish line at the end of the lead lap.

I appreciate the updates Nick , but what about the rest of the field?

I'm sorry, but I am doing this without input from the track. Hopefully, the official results will be forthcoming.

Well night #2 is in the books.... and i tell you what it was eventfull!!!

the real racing action was in the heat races.. with the format that heats sets the feature it becomes a free for all...

Hobbies provided some interesting views.. and ouuuuu and awwww moments...

From the drivers seat, the points that will come out later will show the kinda racing thats going on..

Close quarters and and some people over their skill level...

The inside groove to Turn 3 is not the grass...

Also we appreciate the Houston car coming up to test.. but man.. we can't touch that car... only in the turns..

As soon as i started the feature i realized that all the beat'n and banging the car took caught up to it in the feature.. and the tranny was slipping bad... once hot it was ok.. but was used up.. at the checkers...

If we tested the houston cars.. i really want to test the roadrunners... having a 20 car feature would be SWEET!!

P.S. you can pass on the outside of THR.. just wish some would stay in the groove they chose... or know when to lift.. and when its not the right time to take something that isn't there..

You got that right. I'm not sure if the Roadrunners are close to being "shown the door" so to speak, but I sure hope the track reconsiders the idea of combining the two classes before they would shut either of them down. The HS class is hurting for cars anyway at the current time. What a better way to nearly double the car count in that class? The RR cars have so far not been faster than the HS cars, so my hope would be that they could combine the two and consider letting the HS guys hull their cars out next year and maybe introduce certain models of 108" cars also with the same "stock" suspension rules we have now. The 108 cars and the 112" cars ran together well in SA, so I think it can happen here too.

Maybe this discussion should be moved so it doesn't detract from Joey's win. Congrats Joey!
