By Dennis Michelsen Buda, TX (05/10/2007) - When the season began Colt James was planning on running for the Southern Division Championship in the ASA Late Model Series and a handful of events in the Challenge Division. Racing in front of the home state crowd at San Antonio Speedway the season got off to a winning start for this talented youngster from Buda, Texas. Colt was encouraged to race the following Challenge events at Nashville and Toledo coming away with two more strong finishes and maintained his point’s lead. Now the decision has been made to concentrate only on the ASALMS Challenge Division and leave the Southern Division races behind. This family owned team still needs additional sponsorship to make sure they can afford to keep their title hopes alive! Back to back races in the Hawkeye state will put a strain on the team’s resources but Colt James is confident he is up for the challenge. “We have had one of the fastest cars at every race this season so I expect another strong run at Hawkeye Downs this week,” said Colt.
