super late model racing

Recommended Posts

:( I just moved from Florida and there is no super late model racing! I thought I was in Texas, how can there be no super lates are there non in the state or just no series. I know one thing driving too Alabama or back too Florida is expensive and not realistic unless your some rich kid and your daddy has deep pockets. If there is any outher super late drivers who would liketo drive in there home state please post somthing. Thanks.

Crate motors suck, there slow and make for boring racing. They tride it in Florida and it tanked, besides it kills all the engine builders around. I know that the Fascar series went too spec. engines and also open engines but the sires promoter gets a kick back from the spec. engines. You also can get more if you pay the engine builder more money. Also you can only use three engine builders, like that is a fair way to outher engine builders.

super late models, I thought those were like the pink elephant. Just a figment of my imagination.

I wish I could of lived in those times. Build a race car, build an engine, and hope you got enough to win. Wow...those must of been some great times. :D:D:D

Those days are gone for good

If you guys think super late model series are of the past look on www.oscaar.ca or www.fascar.org and then tell me that super late model racing is dead. Also they have better car counts than the T.S.R.s. and every buddy dosen't spend the big bucks, because you don't have to spend 30,000 dollars on a motor to be competive or even 12,000 dollars. The people who run up front are always going to run up front. The people who usely complane are the guys who spend 30,000 and don't run up front.

huh?? I got a SLM in the garage. 9-1 18 degree bowtie engine. Not a crate motor. The "pro-latemodels" are not the super latemodel series. There are not but a handful of those series left. And those that are, are still strugling somewhat. Yes, at this point in time, super latemodel racing is dead in central texas. However, its not the first time this has happened. I'm fairly confident that the series will return, and when it does I'll get mine out again.

Of coarse, i have been known to be wrong...sometimes :D

oh and another thing, Ontario is a little far to drag to make a race.

Mathew easy on the crate motors. car count is up because of it. Boring and slow you must have not seen the race or the entry list at snowflake last year or ever been to an ASA Show. Super lates just died in Texas. I know because I raced there and have a motor in the corner collecting dust(for sale one good concept motor). I know of several SLM cars that are just sitting and it is sad but thats what happened in Texas. Did the crate motor kill the SLM's in Texas? I don't think so but most of the SLM guys have gone to crates and all seem to like it.

Track record in Houston was broken by a Crate Motor ASA car.
