Cosper Takes HOT Win

 

ELM MOTT—Charles Cosper from Belton earned his first win of the season in the I.M.C.A. hobby stock feature Friday night at the Heart O' Texas Speedway. Michael Robertson from McGregor ran second, and Randy Sodek from Temple took third.

 

P.J. Egbert from Kempner moved to first place in the I.M.C.A. modified feature after the winner failed to report for post race inspections. Pat McGuire from Belton advanced to second and Keith Green from Robinson to third.

 

The I-stock feature win went to Benji Kirkpatrick from Elm Mott. Chad Estes from Troy and Mark Geurin from Whitney followed in second and third.

 

Geurin picked up the winner trophy in the street stock feature with Jason Gauntt and Doug Andrews, both from Elm Mott, in second and third.

 

Wacoan Dillon Smith reached the finish line first in the I.M.C.A. SportMod feature. Lil’ Robert Black from Hallsburg was second, and Brandon Stewart from Academy came in third.

 

Jimmy Reid from Waco made his first trip of the season to Victory Lane after the street stock feature win. Local driver Jack Jenkins moved to second and David Sawyer from Axtell collected third after the second place finisher was disqualified.

 

Gordon Coble from Elm Mott topped Jeremy Knight from Lacy Lakeview and Kenneth Dean from Elm Mott in the cruiser feature.

 

The top three junior mini stock finishers were Jay Symm from Lorena, Dylan Smith from Robinson, and Jesse Parker from Waco.

 

David Bruce from Reagan won the Brazos Mini Sprint feature. Tim Sandelovic from Georgetown was second, and Ralph Wren from Bryan took third.

 

Next Friday’s regular race program for all classes will also feature the Ironhead Winged Modifieds first visit of the year. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. and races begin at 8:00 P.M. For more information check our website at www.heartotexspeedway.com.
