My understanding is that the modifieds will run under the Houston Pro Modified rules.

The Mods are on the Houston Schedule 15 times (14 events remaining) and on the Thunder Hill schedule four times.

According to the THR schedule, the dates for the USRA Modifieds were May 26, June 9, July 14 and Stock Car Spectacular. I believe those date are still good in spite of the demise of the USRA.

when and whats the rules?????

John,

My understanding is run the same thing as you did last year except, buy some goodyears. At HMP on Saturday they were selling them for $100 each. They looked like they were holding up pretty well.

I keep hearing rumors that Mary Ann announced at the drivers' meeting at HMP that Thunder Hill will be hosting 7 modified races this season, not the four originally announced.

Can anyone confirm this rumor?

Yes Nick,

I can confirm that it is a rumor until substanciated by fact.

Therefore it is a rumor at this point.

Does this help? :D

Danny - Well, because I figured that there must have been some people at that drivers' meeting who might be willing to share what they heard.

Mark - Yes, it helps confirm something alright... LOL

Can anyone clear up some of the PRO MOD rules for transmissions? bert brinn type are not allowed?

You can basically use any X-mission in ProMod class. We run a Brinn.

what about the chip does everyone have to run the 6300 chip????

My understanding is they will run under the HMP ProMod rules. That means Goodyears and 6300 chip for the

crates. The open motors run weight and left side % penalty, but no chip.
