Dirt Track Insider (DTI) to launch 2007 season tomorrow on K-MAC Sports

(Leander, TX) –It’s time to get “down and dirty” with Sarge Masom and K-MAC Sports.

As in, time to cover the dirt racing scene.

The K-MAC Sports show that will do just that – Dirt Track Insider, also known as “D.T.I.” – makes its debut tomorrow at Noon Central Time. The one-hour show will be hosted by Masom and K-MAC Sports play-by-play announcer/co-owner Chuck Licata. Listeners can e-mail the show at racing@kmacsports.com.

“We’re very excited about our debut show,” said Masom, one of the most respected dirt track announcers in Texas. “Even though myself and K-MAC Sports are teaming up to present the show, it’s all about the drivers, crew members, fans, owners and sponsors. Our intention is for the show to give much-deserved publicity to the great folks in the dirt tracing community across the country.”

“We hope everyone who has any kind of association with dirt racing will get involved with the show, be it by e-mails, phone calls or even field reporting,” Licata stated. “Our coverage of the Modified Nationals last December as well as the Pro Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championships at Texas Motor Speedway in early March showed us there’s some good we can do for the dirt track community’s efforts. The show will cover Texas racing as its ‘base’ but we’ll give coverage to every aspect – and area – of dirt racing across the country.”

Kevin McAdams, K-MAC Sports co-owner, added, “This will be our first broadcast out of the new K-MAC Sports studio, which we’ll call ‘Studio 19.’ We’ve been working day and night to make sure everything will be ready, but we hope folks will be understanding if we have a glitch or two in the first few weeks of our broadcasts. We should have a phone line available for callers within the next couple of weeks.”

Scheduled live guests for tomorrow include Brett Root, Vice President of the International Motor Contest Association (IMCA), who will join the show live from Vinton, IA; Kenneth Graves, the now 15-year-old who is leading the National I. M. C. A. Southern SportMods points; and Candace Dinsmore, wife of dirt racer Greg Dinsmore who will provide a “Lifestyle” segment to the show on a regular basis.

K-MAC Sports broadcasts high school football and baseball, TSRS Late Models races and has partnered with Orangebloods.com for its UT postgame show broadcasts as well the NASCAR weekends at Texas Motor Speedway. K-MAC Sports is All K-MAC Sports broadcasts are available for replay on the site at various times and dates.
