2007 ALLSTATE TEXAS RACEFEST presented by TOYOTA

Terry Labonte headlines NASCAR

Tony Stewart Racing & Kasey Kahne Racing file entries for USAC

Austin, TX (March 21, 2007) - Full Throttle Productions – producer of the “Allstate Texas Racefest presented by Toyota” – today announced details and new additions for the two-time award winning event. The multi-day event is the only place in Texas that fans can see both a NASCAR race and a USAC race at the same facility. Traditionally an early October event, the over-whelming success of the first two years has prompted NASCAR and USAC officials to schedule the 2007 edition as the first race of the year. Add legendary racing personalities and teams, and ‘Racefest 2007’ has the makings of another sell-out event.

Texas and NASCAR racing legend Terry Labonte will be the Grand Marshal of the NASCAR Grand National race on March 31st and the USAC National Midget Series teams owned by superstars Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne have filed additional entries for the April 7th USAC race.

“We are very happy to bring NASCAR and USAC racing back to Central Texas once again,” Tavo Hellmund, co-founder of Full Throttle Productions, said. “This event is the only time these series come to the State of Texas each year. The new date and additions, coupled with a family friendly environment, makes for a truly unique and affordable outing for the entire family in this part of the country.”

NASCAR – Sat. March 31st

This year's “Allstate Thunder 150,” a NASCAR Grand National Division race, will be the season opener for the series and thirty or more drivers from around the country will race to win on Sat., March 31st, at Thunder Hill Raceway in Kyle. NASCAR great Terry Labonte will be on hand to sign autographs and give the “command to start your engines”. One lucky fan will win the ‘ride of a lifetime’, by getting to ride shot-gun alongside Terry in an 800 horsepower Nextel Cup car prior to the start of the race. A 50 lap TSRS Late Model race will start the night of racing.

USAC – Sat. April 7th

The “Allstate Lightning 100,” race will showcase the lightning fast speeds of USAC National Midget Series racing. The premise of USAC racing is simple: squeeze as much horsepower as you can into a compact engine and bolt it onto an open-wheel, open cockpit lightweight chassis. The result is an intensely fast, pure racing machine built for heart-stopping, wheel to wheel action. Legendary drivers A.J. Foyt and Mario Andretti, as well as current superstars Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne consider their achievements racing USAC Midgets as some of the most difficult and rewarding accomplishments of their careers.

Although no driver name was listed, the teams of Tony Stewart Racing and Kasey Kahne Racing have filed additional entries for the Saturday April 7th race. The “Allstate Lightning 100” USAC race does fall on a weekend that has no NASCAR Nextel Cup race scheduled.

Family Fun

The midway/concession area will feature interactive fun with a climbing wall, face painting, two moonwalks, all day DJ, driver autograph sessions, sponsor tents (register to win prizes), live music by local band Uncle Lucius and much more!

About the NASCAR Grand National Division
