Performance Bodies expands IMCA program with new Southern SportMod, Hobby Stock region prizes

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (March 13) – Performance Bodies expands its contingency program with IMCA again this season, with new awards for Jeff’s Performance Southern SportMod drivers and competitors in both regions for Hobby Stocks.

National rookies of the year in the Southern SportMod division, as well as Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, will receive spruce up special packages, which include two doors and two quarter panels valued at $219. Top five finishers in national standings for both SportMod classes earn the spruce up special or a $100 product certificate from the Cedar Falls race car body manufacturer and automotive parts retailer.

Each of the top 10 drivers in Northern and Southern regions for the Hobbies get nosepiece and headlight decal kits valued at $135.

Performance Bodies added Northern SportMods to its contingency program and gave Hobby Stock awards based on national point standings last year. More than $18,000 in products and certificates will go to IMCA Modified, Late Model, SportMod, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers in 2007.

“As has become standard practice in a division’s third season, we begin crowning a rookie of the year and complemented by the Northern SportMods, it seemed a natural partnership to develop the program with Performance Bodies,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “As with all other classes, Southern SportMod drivers have to have competed in four or fewer career races in the division to be eligible.”

Top five drivers in final point standings and the top three rookies in each of the five Modified regions receive the spruce up special or $100 product certificate. All Modified drivers are again required to display two Performance Bodies decals in designated locations on their race cars to be eligible.

Top 10 finishers in the Deery Brothers Summer Series for Late Models, the top 10 in both Stock Car regions and national Stock Car and Hobby Stock rookies of the year earm nosepiece and headlight decal kits.

Registration forms for SportMod and Hobby Stock rookies will be published in the point section of the monthly Inside IMCA newsletter and posted on the IMCA website.

The deadline for submitting those forms to the IMCA home office is Wednesday, Aug. 1.

Information about Performance Bodies products is available at the www.performancebodies.com website or by calling 800 722-4641.

“Few organizations do a more thorough job of supporting IMCA racers than Performance Bodies,” said Yoder. “From their contingency programs, to their quality product line to their outstanding customer service, Performance Bodies handles the needs of IMCA drivers as well as anyone.”
