The Bullrun reality show will premier tonight on Spike TV (Channel 325 on DirecTV), starting at 9:00 p.m. CDT.

Universal City's Jason Wallace and San Antonio's Jake Keeton drove their 2004 Ford Texas Ranch F150 Lariat across 4,000 miles of terrain in Spike TV's exciting new original series 'Bullrun.'

We're currently making arrangements for these two competitors to bring their truck out to San Antonio Speedway and meet the fans. If some of you remember, we posted a request on TSZ from the casting director looking for potential entries last September. It's too bad we didn't have any "takers." Or may Jake and Jason read about it on TSZ! LOL

Here's a little more information on the series:

Spike TV debuts a new original series, Bullrun, features regular guys competing for a chance to take home $200,000 in prize money. Based on the international automotive rally of the same name, Bullrun features 12 teams of two drivers who use their own cars in a rally that takes them across America. This series puts real people behind their favorite wheels in an all-out rally across North America, competing for big prize money, the 2007 Bullrun Trophy, and even bigger bragging rights waiting at the finish line. From classic muscle cars to exotic automobiles, Bullrun will feature some of the hottest, coolest, and fastest tricked-out cars ever assembled on television.

It sounds like a neat show to watch. When I talked with Jason earlier this week, he couldn't tell me how they did . . . he did tell me we'd be proud of the Texas boys!

Cool show. The Texas boys finished the first round in first place! It looks like the next show will be Thursday at 10:00 p.m. I'll verify the schedule with the guys.

I just talked with Jason, and the show on Thursday night is a repeat of last night's show. It is also scheduled to run again on Saturday morning.

The original episodes will normally run on Tuesday nights for 11 weeks, at 9:00 p.m., I think.

Don't forget to tune in tonight at 9:00 p.m. on Spike TV for the second episode of Bullrun that features two local guys - Jason Wallace and Jake Keeton. You're all invited to a watch party at Hooligan's Sports Bar in the Forum (Loop 1604 and IH 35) tonight.

We currently plan to have this team at San Antonio Speedway this Saturday night - still finalizing our plans with their publicist, etc.

For more information, here's a press release that I just received last night:

TWO LOCAL TEXAS RESIDENTS TAKE PART IN SPIKE TV'S NEW REALITY SHOW, 'BULLRUN'

Jason Wallace and Jake Keeton featured in Spike TV’s New Reality Series

New Episodes Premiere Tuesdays (9:00 – 10:00 PM, CST)

San Antonio, TX (March 19, 2007) – Jason Wallace (Universal City) and Jake Keeton (San Antonio) take their 2004 Ford Texas Ranch F150 Lariat to the streets as they compete in Spike TV’s new series, “Bullrun.” “Bullrun,” based on the international automotive rally of the same name, features 12 teams of two drivers who use their own cars in a rally that takes them across America. New episodes premiere Tuesdays (9:00 – 10:00 PM, CST).

“Bullrun,” hosted by former wrestling phenomena Bill Goldberg, puts real people behind their favorite wheels in an all-out rally across North America, competing for big prize money, the 2007 Bullrun Trophy, and even bigger bragging rights waiting at the finish line. Making this a true test of strength and endurance, drivers will only be given route information after each leg of the competition, and will be forced to “switch gears” several times in planning their strategies. Facing unforgiving terrain, auto challenges and the knowledge that one team will be eliminated at the end of each episode, drivers are fueled by a love of their own cars and driven by the ultimate desire to win.

From classic muscle cars to exotic automobiles, “Bullrun” will feature some of the hottest, coolest, and fastest tricked-out cars ever assembled on television. In addition to racing to their next destination, each team will also be put to the test with competitive, extreme auto challenges with their own cars. If any of the cars break down, contestants will need to handle the repairs themselves or face elimination.

Jason and Jake met during Spring Break ’01 in Port Aransas, TX. Jason, born and raised in Universal City, TX, was bred to be a fireman. His father was Fire Chief at the local station where Jason remembers the thrill of following fires with his mother - Gatorade and doughnuts in hand- to see his father in action. Jason describes Jake as his “little brother,” a claim Jake backs up, as Jason embodies everything he wants to be. For Jake, the passion for the Fire Academy was acquired through Jason. Jake is finishing up his work at the Fire Academy, currently working delivery routes at his mother’s flower shop until he graduates, where he plans to become an Arson Investigator.

“Bullrun” is produced by Rocket Science Laboratories, Bullrun LLC and Maloof Television. Chris Cowan, Jean-Michel Michenaud, Charles Duncombe and Joel Rodgers (Rocket Science Laboratories), Andrew Duncan and David Green (Bullrun franchise owners), and Phil Maloof and Andrew Jameson (Maloof Entertainment Group) will serve as executive producers. Lloyd,

I met Jake last night at the Bullrun watch party - said he knew the Racing Alexanders . . . h-m-m . . . and you too, Big John. Those two guys are characters - make me laugh a lot. I know the SAS fans will enjoy meeting them and talking with them about the show. I know I had several questions last night, and it was great to hear some of their answers and explanations.
