maz1438 Posted March 12, 2007 Report Share Posted March 12, 2007 Can someone please explain to myself that while i was reading this story about this kid (Dillon Spreen), I noticed that it states he started racing at age 8 in 2001 and then states that he is now only 12 yrs old? I can understand that maybe due to his birthdate sometimes the years dont match up, but 2001-2007? Would he not be at least 13-14 yrs old? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Boernebullet Posted March 13, 2007 Report Share Posted March 13, 2007 Actually Dillon started in a Quarter Midget at the age of 5 years old in 1999 and actually did a small race at the age of 5 at San Antonio Speedway then again in 2001 he raced there again and had just turned 7. He is now 12 and will be 13 on May 29th. The Quarter Midget picture was taken in 2001 and the Legacy picture was taken in 2006 when he raced at San Antonio Speedway last season. So in the QM picture he was 7 not 8. We counted wrong sorry. Maybe the track can get the Quarter Midgets out again.
