Recommended Posts

Houston, TX (March 8, 2007) - Today JAG Flocomponents, a leading manufacturer of valves for the energy and petrochemical industries, was introduced today as the naming-rights sponsor of the racetrack for the Grand Prix of Houston, which will now be called "JAGFlo Speedway at Reliant Park".

The new sponsorship will allow the Grand Prix of Houston to make major improvements for the events. The Grand Prix staff took into consideration all the comments that the fans, vendors and participants left last year to make this year's event even better.

This year's event will be a traditional Friday thru Sunday event, with the headlining event on Sunday afternoon, April 22. The most important improvement this year will be the grinding of the race track surface.

The racetrack will be smoother and should provide closer racing.

Another announcement made was that from Paul Newman announcing that Mike Lanigan will be a third partner to the championship team of Newman/Haas racing, creating Newman/Haas/Lanigan racing. Mr. Newman commented also on how impressed he was with the race in Houston and how he is looking

forward to a long future for this event.

The 2007 Grand Prix of Houston will take place April 20-22 at Houston's JAGFlo Speedway at Reliant Park. For more information please check them out on the web at www.grandprixofhouston.com.
