Quality Pre-Owned Cars & Trucks named as Title Sponsor for Alamo 200

San Antonio, TX (March 1, 2007) – San Antonio Speedway will open its 2007 racing season this Saturday, March 3, with one of the biggest racing events of the year – the ASA Late Model Series 2nd Annual Alamo 200.

Quality Pre-Owned Cars and Trucks has been named as the title sponsor for this prestigious stock-car race around the high banks of San Antonio Speedway’s half-banked oval asphalt track.

“We’re very pleased to name Quality Pre-Owned Cars & Trucks as our title sponsor,” stated Terry Dickerson, President and CEO of the USRA Track Management Group. “Quality Pre-Owned Cars and Trucks is one of the most reputable businesses in San Antonio, and we feel it’ll be a great partner. San Antonio Speedway is planning to do a lot more promotion at a grassroots level, and we know our association with Quality Pre-Owned Cars & Trucks will be a great way to get the word out to the public.”

Steve Garrett, Area Manager at Quality Pre-Owned Cars & Trucks, is excited about partnering with San Antonio Speedway.

“We’re doing a lot of promotions for our 12 locations, and we have a great opportunity to become more involved in the racing community,” said Garrett. “San Antonio Speedway has been a favorite stomping ground for several of us, including our General Manager. We’re a four-generation family business, and it’s great to be a part of the family-oriented atmosphere at San Antonio Speedway.”

Added Garrett, “We think San Antonio Speedway is a fun place to go, and we believe in giving back to the community. We’ll also have an opportunity to display our cars while supporting our local track. And we want to help make this racing facility become one of the biggest sporting venues in the city.”

To further diversify its promotional efforts, Quality Auto Group has recently combined forces in an unprecedented marketing effort. The Quality Automotive Group has signed a deal to bring Chop "The King of Cars" to San Antonio. Quality’s own – Steve Garrett – will be returning as “The Judge.”

Chop is best known for his highly rated and successful national television program "The King of Cars," which will be airing on Time Warner's A&E network and seen here in San Antonio each week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Now in its second season, "The King of Cars" features a whacky and spirited cast of characters, including the Blue Genie, Versace Mariachi, and Chilly Willy – and it’s been termed a hit by the A&E Network.

Quality Pre-Owned Cars & Trucks 2nd Annual Alamo 200 ASA Late Model Series Challenge Race will feature more than 30 drivers from all over the country. The starting field for the Alamo 200 is limited to 28 cars, and the winner will take home $10,000.

The grandstand gates will open at 4:00 p.m. An autograph session with the ASA LMS drivers is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. Saturday’s racing action will begin at 7:00 p.m. – featuring the San Antonio Speedway Road Runner and Sportsman classes and the Texas Pro Sedans.

San Antonio Speedway is located at 14901 State Highway 16 South towards Poteet, just 3.5 miles outside Loop 410 and inside Loop 1604.

Grandstand admission for the March 3 race is $25 for adults, $15 for senior citizens, military and spouse and students (with ID), and $5 for children 7-12. Children 6 and under are admitted free.

Families can also take advantage of a free child’s admission (ages 7-12) by picking up a “Kids Free” coupon at any Express Lube location in San Antonio. This coupon offers a free child’s admission with the purchase of an adult admission ticket.
