Paris inks contracts for IMCA Modifieds, Jeff’s Performance Southern SportMods

Paris, TX (January 26, 2007) – The IMCA flag flies again this year at Paris Motor Speedway, where both the Modified and Jeff’s Performance Southern SportMod divisions will be sanctioned.

“This is a real nice facility and we want to bring in more cars in both classes this season,” second year promoter Michael Farris said. “We’ve pretty much been going by IMCA rules and our car counts went up last year, so we’re hoping to get more cars with the sanction.”

Opening night for points is March 31. Saturday night shows continue through Sept. 22.

“We have a pretty good sized agenda to get ready for the new season,” said Farris, ironing out details for his February awards banquet. "We’re going to build a new victory lane and move the tech area to

the infield.”

Paris is part of the SuperFlow South Central Region for Modifieds.

The ¼ mile dirt track was bought by Farris’ father, Cecil, in 2005.

Sanctioned Modifieds had run at Paris Motor Speedway from 1999-2004. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars were on the pro gram there from 2000-2003.
