Budman
Greg Biffle crashed hard at Vegas Thursday, during tire tests for Goodyear. He was assisted from his burning car by Kyle Busch. Greg was apparently shaken, but uninjured in the incident. I post this here because everytime I read a story like this, I'm reminded of one of our own from many years back. Billy Wade, who I watched race many times was a local short-track veteran racer from Houston. He went on to make it in the "Big Time", with very successful freshman and sophmore seasons in '63 and '64 in NASCAR. He, likewise was in an off-season tire test session, at Daytona in January of 1965. He too crashed, but tragically he did not survive that crash. RIP Billy. Crazyhorse
neil bonnet of the alabama gang , samething. there are plenty of crash test dummies out there (like me) that would jump at the chance to be a test rat but yet they still take chances with these high dollar team drivers? mikeg
Maybe Goodyear should sign a contract with their regular, trained employees instead of using the fill ins that are running most of their plants.
