Rookie49
that 61 might be a Citation or varient (new in 9/80). Jay That's what I was thinking but I couldn't remember the name of that car.
hath27
The 61 is an Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon. Same body style that Mike Miller ran in the same time frame. We built one to run the in Colorado in early 80's. http://www.coloradoracingmemories.com/crm_...ll/crmcanty.htm Scroll towards bottom of page. Also on front page of sight is a picture of Miller's car.
97car
Some good pictures on the link, I think we should look at the rules from back then and go back to that style body rules and let them look like real race cars.
txtom
The 61 is an Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon. Same body style that Mike Miller ran in the same time frame. I was thinking that, but was not sure. Do you remember Bobby Allison describing Mike Miller's Cutlass as "The ugliest racecar in America?" Some good pictures on the link, I think we should look at the rules from back then and go back to that style body rules and let them look like real race cars. You may be right, Kevin. That is killing NASCAR right now, everything looks alike. Half the so called "new fans" couldn't look at a Dodge, Monte Carlo, and a Fusion all in primer paint only and tell them apart.
