16th Annual Nationals from Rio Grande Speedway will be broadcast online!

McAllen, TX – Officials at Rio Grande Speedway know they already have a good thing and now they’re making it even better.

They host the annual Modified and Limited Modified Nationals, which this year will be held Nov. 30 through December 2 at the McAllen facility. This year will be the 16th annual running of the Nationals. Hundreds of drivers from across the nation will compete for the over-$50,000 purse that is on the line.

Rio Grande Speedway officials will make this year’s running a historic event – and make fans across the country happy. Rio Grande Speedway announced today they have brought in K-MAC Sports Productions of Austin (www.kmacsports.com) to broadcast both the Limited Modified Nationals finale as well as the Modified Nationals finale on Saturday.

Those drivers, family members and fans that can’t make the trek to McAllen for the ¼-mile dirt track for one of the nation’s biggest off-season dirt track races in the country will be able to listen to the event live online from the comfort of their own homes – or anywhere they can hook up with a computer.

“We’re very happy to bring in K-MAC Sports to broadcast our races,” said Rio Grande Speedway owner Johnny Johnson. “We certainly hope drivers and their families as well as dirt-track race fans can make the trip down to our track. But we know not everyone can do that; that’s why we’ve enlisted the help of K-MAC Sports to do the online audio broadcast of the Nationals.”

Johnson added, “We’ve talked to K-MAC officials and are happy with their energy and enthusiasm for our event. We all agree we’re going to work hard to give listeners the ‘feel’ and excitement of the event. The great thing about the broadcasts is that they’re free – something everyone in racing can appreciate!”

Saturday night’s feature races will be broadcast live by K-MAC Sports at its web site at www.kmacsports.com. Both races will also be available for replay (24/7) at the web site, free of charge, sometime Monday evening.

Advertising opportunities for this historic broadcast are available by contacting Chuck Licata at 512.417.9414 or by visiting the web site. Title sponsorship – and sponsorship opportunities - for the races and event is available by calling Johnny Johnson at 956.496.8840.

For more information on Rio Grande Speedway, please visit the track’s web site at www.rgspeedway.com or call 956.843.2789. Rio Grande Speedway is located 3.9 miles south of Expressway 83 on 10th Street in McAllen.
