Jason
Speaking of big bucks and racing. DIRT lost 18.7 million the first 9 months of 06. What is their problem? They came in and bought a bunch of series and tracks that really dont make a lot (if any) money in the first place. http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/793...41240e10qsb.htm
abrungot
Jason... Completly different topic.. but what seems to hurt Dirt.. is they have not improved on the Sponsorship/Advertising line.. as well as being behind in Merchandising.. they have also cut back on the sales and marketing spending.. Also by issueing Stock options its hurting their bottom line because of changes in GAP rules. Net they have lost ROI on Sales and marketing.. while picking up a bunch of Overhead from new tracks.. OOOPPPS hope next years better.. many times requires 2-3 years to fix the hole you dig.. This analyst says sometimes.. you need to have a budget to survive.. and good friends...with deep pockets... Anyone know any deep pockets> Edited November 17, 2006 by abrungot
rebelracewriter
I believe if you look back in TXSZ archives you'll find that someone had a bad feeling about what DIRT was doing a long time ago.
