NickHolt
Apparently the server (and not your computer) had a problem with its Time/Date function for a few hours this morning (Nov 3rd). For those of you who use the "View New Posts" tool at the top of TXSZ pages, this means that any posts that were mistakenly dated ahead of the actual date and time (for instance, you will see a couple of posts that were dated November 4th when the date was actually Nov 3rd and several post that in which the time was labeled "PM" instead of "AM" and vice versa) will show up as New Posts in the View New Posts even though you have already looked at them. Once the actual time and date catches up to the erroneous time and date, this problem should resolve itself. Confused? Me too. NickHolt
One of the unfortunate consequences of the server date/time problem is that TXSZ members were not be able to post to some threads that were dated wrong. Hopefully no other problems will surface due to the server malfunction. Nick
Rosie
Nick, Eveery time I hit the 'View New Posts' button, I get this error screen: Sorry, an error occured. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The error returned was: Sorry, the board administrator has enabled search flood control. Please wait at least 20 seconds before trying again. I think I broke it.... NickHolt
There are obviously some server problems. I have called the site admin to see if he can figure out what is going on. Nick

Rookie49
I think the server thought that when we were clicking on "View new posts" we meant "View original posts".
NickHolt
New Post thing is working again. Thanks, Nick Christine Parks and Kn1ghtblade first identified that there might be a problem. I'm sure it could have gotten a lot worse since the "Flood Control" section of the system was starting to go nuts as well. So, thanks to both of them for alerting me. IT could have been a lot worse, I'm sure. Basically, somehow the date and time settings at the server jumped ahead (either by someone hacking into the software or by some unknown time warp). Since the software is programed that you can't post before the original or last post was time stamped, the system went nuts everytime someone tried to post to those posts that had the time/date in the future. Just how the "flooding" problem got involved is somewhat of a mystery to me, but hopefully that has been fixed as well. Sorry for the glitch. Hope whoever (or whatever) felt the need to screw up this site is all happy now. Nick
