NickHolt
San Antonio, TX (October 20, 2006) - Some say San Antonio Speedway CEO Terry Dickerson is nuts. And he isn't doing much to convince folks otherwise by challenging the winner of both AT&T Texas All-Star Shootout Twin 75s Presented by Mercedes Homes events - as well as the newly crowned ASA Late Model Series Southern Division champion - to a school bus race after their races. Dickerson is no stranger to school bus races after getting soundly whipped by Mark Chrudimsky during last month's Crash-a-Rama at the speedway last month. "My thang is," Dickerson drawled, "I know I can beat these guys. I just hope they don't chicken out knowing how good I am at this school bus racing thang. And if Mark Chrudimsky wants more of me this Saturday, well let's git it on." Debbie Williams, the SAS Public Relations guru, had a different take on Dickerson's driving ability. "Terry drives worse than I do and people tell me they get seasick after riding with me." Williams said, only half kidding. "Just look at the dent in the right front fender of Terry's bus. After OktoberFAST he stuffed that bus smack into the front straight wall with nobody else even on the track with him at the time! And seems to me I recall something about him driving a four-wheeler into the wall a while back. I predict TD will get lapped three times." Adding further evidence of mental instability, the former rodeo clown has promised to jump his "Racing School Bus" into a flaming mobile home if the toiletry donations fill the school bus up to the bottom of the windows. "This time I'm not going to miss that dang mobile home like it did at the Crash-a-Rama," Dickerson said. "It was raining so I have an excuse." Tammy Dickerson, beleaguered wife of the SAS honcho, had some thoughts about the planned jump. "If that idiot jumps that bus into that mobile home," Ms. Dickerson said with some obvious anticipation, "Maybe I'll get to collect that life insurance money early. Tell everyone to bring lots and lots of toiletry items to the races this Saturday." Hmmmm...
