txtom
That one was pretty good, but the best I ever saw video of was Wayne Anderson and I think David Rogers at the Governors cup at New Smyrna several years ago. It made the rounds on the tv shows.
rebelracewriter
Just saw it on Fox News. I needed a good laugh. Been a tough month. Reminds me of a well-known Houston area driver, now crew chief, for a well known team when he raced at Big H Speedway back in the 80's. I've never seen anyone dive across a hood, head first, into the drivers compartment like that ever before or since. No I won't mention a name, he still looks pretty tough. I do think I still have the video of it buried in some stuff packed away for years.

Budman
Reb, I've got a DVD of racing at Houston's Playland Park from the 1950's. It's narrated by Gil Dudek. In it he speaks of the infamous ongoing feud there between the Burtons and the Tollitas during that era. It must have been something to see .............. a real-life "Hatfields and McCoys" type deal of Houston racing. Stuff like that is so interesting. rebelracewriter
Small world, Gil was one of the first racing friends I made when I moved to Houston. He taught me how to shoot video and we used to get lots of stuff on TV. He and his wife still do the videos out at Houston Raceway Park and he sends me a highlights tape every year for Christmas. Great stuff.
