SAS Crash-A-Rama

Is the race day still on with the impending weather? There is an 80% chance of thunderstorms. When will someone let people know if the day has been canceled or rescheduled? I come in from out-of-town and don't want to make such a long drive if it is going to be rescheduled for another time. Please let us know soon.

Hopefully the Crash-a-Rama will be held as scheduled. If, however, the event has to be postponed, both the San Antonio Speedway website and TXSZ will put the word out as soon as we are informed.

At 2:30 p.m. the weather radar shows that the bad weather has gone to the north of the San Antonio area. And the fearless weather forecasters at NWS have dropped the chance of precipitation for the rest of the day 80% to 20%.

Some parts of town remained entirely dry while others received a very light rain... more like mist, really.

The phones have been ringing off the hook at SAS this week. Lots of promotion went into this deal and it looks like Crash-a-Rama will fill the grandstands!

It was too bad the rain didn't hold out another 10 minutes. The stands were full and the show was great. Gotta say thanks to Mark Chrudimsky...he brought everything but the kitchen sink and had the crowd going all night. Most important thing was nobody got hurt...just a little wet!

Left for home right after the Demo Derby. Almost made it. Got to 410 and Somerset and got hammered by the rain. Made it home safely, but drenched....

A Great show, BTW...

Hey Rosie - Understand why you left, and if we were on our bikes, we would have left too, but you missed Terry pile driving a car into the burning motor home. Was a sight worth seeing!!

We tried to stop him but there wasn't a chance. That wasn't his last jump...

Well as one of the crazy ones standing in the downpour, I am glad he did. (More glad that he was alright.) We were not moving once the motor home was lit!!
