NickHolt Posted September 21, 2006 Report Share Posted September 21, 2006 San Antonio Speedway hosted WOAI-4, Univision KWEX-8 and KABB Fox 29 TV crews at the track today in preparation for the big Crash-a-Rama show this Saturday. WOAI will run footage on their 6:00 p.m. early evening news as well as their prime-time NEWS 4 show at 10:00 o'clock. Univision 41 will broadcast their footage this evening on their 10:00 p.m. news program. We were very pleased that the leading SA Spanish station was able to come on out. KABB (Fox 29) spent a good long time filming and will have footage on their Fox News at 9 (9:00 p.m.) broadcast this evening and their Fox News First on Friday morning between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. KABB producer Brad Strong took one of the school busses to be used during the Crash-a-Rama on Saturday around the half mile for a spin. We used a sundial to time his laps - somewhere in the 2-3 minute range.. LOL.. His first lap was soooo slow I thought the bus would turn over on the banking... Actually, he got the bus up to some pretty decent speeds and actually almost broke it loose coming off turn four on his last lap. We had Bear Foot and the Amsoil Shock Therapy trucks out there today crushing a car for the cameras and more or less showing off. On one pass Bear Foot went pretty much straight up and looked like it might come down on its tail instead of the tires. Then he cut some pretty impressive doughnuts creating a huge dust cloud. Anyway, the TV crews seemed impressed. Wouldn't be surprised if they showed up on Saturday as well. Nick Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
