Budman
The Announcer in some ways gives a track its "Personality." Who are some of your all time favorites? Sorry guys, current ones don't count. Let's not get into a "popularity contest" on here. Who are some of the more memorable ones over the years at your track? Sarge
Best ever Big Joe, current announcer at Texas Thunder Speedway! None better, anywhere, anytime. I know you said no current, but, you will not find a bettr one. Budman
The guy I most remember was long-time KVET 1300 Radio DJ Arleigh Duff. He did the announcing at Speed-o-rama/Longhorn for many years. That guy was quite the "Personality".
ChuckLicata
Best ever Big Joe, current announcer at Texas Thunder Speedway! None better, anywhere, anytime. I know you said no current, but, you will not find a bettr one. Bill "Sarge" Masom Co-announcer, and Big Joe's biggest fan, Texas Thunder Speedway Leave it to SARGE to ignore the rules!! My vote goes to Trey Ware...As was stated at THR when Trey was announced as the co-Grand Marshall with Dawn Murphy this past Saturday, Trey and the Ware family "were ahead of their time" in the era of racing they spawned... Since Sarge ALREADY broke the rules..I'm putting in a vote for current THR announcer Mick Anderson...he's the one who trained me and the fans at THR seem to have adapted to him.. (Leave it to a couple of "putz" announcers to break the rules!)
uhcougs
Mick Anderson and Bob Mireles have been a really great combo to listen to. In the select races that I worked at SAS Milton, himself is another great announcer.

Mel
Milton & TD are a very entertaining duo. Milton is the best, he always comes in the pits b4 the races to visit with the drivers. Tells some lies about how good his golf game is! Trey Ware was probably the most exciting. He just comes about it naturally. It's in the blood! I also enjoyed Trey & Ricci Jr. the few times they teamed up on the TV show way back when. Mel
WHAZZUP
For those of us who are a bit long in tooth, a name that comes to mind as a great track announcer is that of the late Lynn Hayden. How many of you remember??? another excellent announcer (when pressed into service) is none other than TPS Guru Neil Upchurch.
RodneyRodriguez
I remember Len, he was good. I grew up listening to Mr. Coffee and Mr. Upchurch @ Austin. I always thought Neil was really good, one I started racing nobody knew who I was until Big Jim came along!!!! He's good and very entertaining.
