The name will be called the All Star Outlaw Late Model Series. After consulting with many area drivers, engines builders and manufactures, All American Racing Association President Ben Atkinson announced today they he will introduce the Outlaw Super Late Model to the southeastern part of the country beginning in the 2007 season. The cars will be basically the same type cars that run the Main Event Racing Series in Ohio and throughout the Midwestern United Sates. These cars are low profile dirt looking, high powered pavement late models that have very few rules. “We are here at the office all the time looking for new ideas and something different to give the fans of asphalt racing and the tracks that handle touring series something different to see and this seems be a popular decision between drivers and track promoters.” said Atkinson. “Back when we started the Southern All Star Asphalt Series we had very little rules and a lot of race cars, now we have a lot of rules and very few cars, so we decided lets go back to the way we started and see what happens.” The series will consist of 10-12 races that will be 100 lap events, there is already a $20,000 points fund set up for the top five drivers in the 2007 points standings as well as a “Winners Circle” Program developed for drivers that are in the top five in series points at each event, as well as other incentive programs being put together. Contingency programs are already in place from Hoosier Racing Tires, SUNCOO Race Fuels, ARP Bodies and Jeff Hamner Racing Engines. A complete rules package and more information concerning the new All Star Outlaw Late Model Series will be ready by end of September. HORSEPOWER
Are there several SLM's out there that can race this series with the old bodies, since they will not be strict on the rules?
97car
HP these are dirt style type bodies like the car from Michigan was a few years back,so the older bodies should get to run go to the main event series rules, seems they get good car counts.
