Yes it is sad to see a once great class go away.

But the class in recent years hasn't had enough of a car count to keep it going. Very little new blood in the last few years, and long time old blood either not racing or moving up in class.

And the cost of a competitive engine has skyrocketed.

Thankfully there is a low cost alternative in the Budweiser Racing Texas Twisters, for those who can't afford to move up.

always a chance to rebuild someday . and the cost of horse power is high . someday that will hurt all mini stock classes . not much stock about them as it is now . when every one wanted to keep out raceing springs and shocks they thought they would save money well that hasnt worked 4 6 8 thousand dollar motors came into play .just to keep up .id rather have the set up parts than the horse power . in the 80.s 90.s the cars at cc ran as fast with almost stock motors with set up then as we do now with no springs and shocks . in fact i ran 16 flat to 16.20 s back in 1989 .with just a good cam headers and 5200 carbs .and some cars ran in the 15.s now more motor .less set up parts .street tires and slower times .more money spent .
