rebelracewriter Posted August 6, 2006 Report Share Posted August 6, 2006 Estes Doubles at HOT  ELM MOTT—Chad Estes from Troy had a successful Friday night at the Heart O' Texas Speedway after winning both the I.M.C.A. modified and I-stock features. Kenny Stone from Troy and Pat McGuire from Belton followed Estes to the checkered flag in the I.M.C.A. modified feature. Benji Kirkpatrick from Elm Mott and Jason Honey from Waco were the second and third place finishers in the I-stock main race.  T.J. Green from Robinson was awarded the I.M.C.A. SportMod feature after race winner, D.L. Wilson from Waco, was disqualified for not following I.M.C.A. post race procedures. Ricky Heckel from China Spring  moved to second and Jeffrey Shepperd from Waco to third.  Michael Robertson from McGregor won a close I.M.C.A. hobby stock feature over Charles Cosper from Belton and Dillon Smith from China Spring.  Waco drivers, Ed Thompson and Doug Andrews, went side-by-side the final two laps of the street stock feature before Thompson took the win. Paul Bolfing from Waco was third.  Point leaders, Melvin Kemp Jr. from Waco and David Sawyer from Axtell, finished first and second in the pure stock feature. Slim Daniel from Bellmead came in third.  Michael Guenat from Robinson grabbed another win in the cruiser feature with Michael Haisler and Jeff Woodruff, both from Elm Mott, in second and third.  Kyle Davis from Waco, Dylan Smith from Riesel, and Corbin Taylor from Waco were the top three finishers in the junior mini stock feature.  Kids’ Bicycle Race winners were: Age 3—Lacey Bullock, Lacy Lakeview; Age 4—Micha Robertson, McGregor; Age 5—Preston Jacobs, Waco; Age 6—Weston Cogburn, Robinson; Age 7—Caleb Toloso, Killeen; Age 8, Girls—Reagan Reed, Waco; Age 8, Boys—Robbie Black, Hallsburg; Age 9—Cameron Young, Robinson; Age 10—Matthew Moravec, West; Age 11—Lexis Jacobs, Waco; Age 13—Kevin Austin, Waco.  Next Friday’s program will include the Leon Wilson Memorial Race and the final season appearance of the Brazos Mini Sprints. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. and racing begins at 8:00 P.M. Check our website for more information at www.heartotexspeedway.com .  Coming Events  August 11, 2006 Friday 8:00 P.M.
