Alamo Drafthouse Cinema will be hosting a tailgate party for the public on August 4, and several San Antonio Speedway drivers will be displaying their cars in the cinema’s parking lot from 6:30 p.m. until 10:15 p.m. On Tuesday, August 8, San Antonio Speedway will be hosting a private racers’ party at Alamo Drafthouse and is inviting all of the local racers, race teams, officials, staff members and fans to watch the new movie together with their families. Starting at 6:30 p.m., race enthusiasts will have the opportunity to visit with each other prior to viewing the Talladega Nights movie. This PG-13 movie will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in Theater #9 for all San Antonio Speedway guests. Party participants are responsible for their own food and drink charges. Will Ferrell stars in Talladega Nights as NASCAR stock car racing sensation Ricky Bobby. Bobby is a national hero because of his "win at all costs" approach. He and his loyal racing partner, childhood friend Cal Naughton Jr. (John C. Reilly), are a fearless duo – known as “Shake” and "Bake" by their fans for their ability to finish so many races in the #1 and #2 positions, with Cal always in second place. When flamboyant French Formula One driver Jean Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen) challenges "Shake" and "Bake" for the supremacy of NASCAR, Ricky Bobby must face his own demons and fight Girard for the right to be known as racing's top driver.
