Yes, that is a little high-but its brand new, built 2005. Anyone finds any less expensive let us know, so we can pass it on! RV's - since there are no hookups @ the track, we have found two RV Parks: University RV Park -1 to 2 miles from the track, they have a dump station for a 10.00 fee or you can even see about staying there. 979.690.6056, they are on Hwy 6, same as the track Lazy RV Park 3 miles form the track @ 16554 S. Hwy 6 979.690.8658 Important "Race Registration" - NASA has kindly extended the late fee for TSRS through Wednesday, so if you register by Wednesday, you will not have to pay the additional 40.00 late fee, again you must do it on line @ http://www.nasatx.com/documents/aug2006twsentry.pdf Minors Release Form: http://www.nasatx.com/documents/MinorWaiver.pdf Race Registration fee: 305.00 with NASA-nothing to TSRS. Includes 3 two-day Pit Passes. Note: when registering with NASA: TSRS does not need to have a NASA license. TSRS does not need a Doctor's release completed. Also, on the NASA Registration form-it has a fee for TIME TRIALS -TSRS does not have to pay for qualifying (This is a class of its own). Race Payout: The TSRS payout is like any other race event. Hope to see you this weekend! The race is on Sunday, see raceday schedule below, take care. Thanks so much! ramey60
$305 pit pass????????? this has to be a typo or something
direct-flo
Race Registration fee: 305.00 with NASA-nothing to TSRS. Includes 3 two-day Pit Passes
ramey60
ok so it's not a typo. so if a team wants to practice on friday it will cost them $200. then on satuday it will cost them another $305 plus $15 more if more than 3 team members. dang thats a pile of cash to add to the travel and motel bills so is there also a tsrs entry fee for this one???
direct-flo
I dont know about the TSRS thing, but 150-200 other drivers are probably thinking the same thing about the cost. It is cheaper this way....I bet NASA pays a ton to lease the track.....and everyone pays the same thing
Mary Ann Naumann
$305 pit pass????????? this has to be a typo or somethingOK, Race Entry fee is 305.00, that fee includes 3-two day pit passes! OK, lets look at a regular TSRS event, for example @ THR: TSRS Race Entry fee is 125.00, if you had three 2-day pit passes @ 46.00 that would = 138.00, together that would be 263.00. That means it is 42.00 more to run @ TWS, if you want to! And any additional Pit Passes are 15.00 and they are good for Saturday & Sunday! If you are a Spectator (racefans) it cost 10.00 and that includes Saturday & Sunday! ok so it's not a typo. so if a team wants to practice on friday it will cost them $200. then on satuday it will cost them another $305 plus $15 more if more than 3 team members. dang thats a pile of cash to add to the travel and motel bills IF YOU WANT TO PRACTICE ON FRIDAY, YOUR CHOICE, THEN YOU PAY TWS FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY, THERE IS NO ADDITION COST TO TEST-N-TUNE ON SATURDAY!! (TSRS is not requiring anyone to be there on Friday or Saturday in order to run the Race on Sunday, how much more fair could we be and drivers are allowed to drop their worse finish or nonappearance at the end of the season for points) so is there also a tsrs entry fee for this one??? THERE IS NO TSRS ENTRY FEE & TSRS IS PAYING THE REGULAR PURSE!
gundogC3
Correct me if I'm wrong, if you only do the sunday deal, entry is 205.00. At least that's what I thought I read?

Sorry Gundog33, to race in the Sunday TSRS Race, it is 305.00 (includes 3 - two day pit passes, if your there on Saturday or not) I am trying to monitor these questions as best I can and still try to prepare for the weekend, I hope I do not miss any, as so many read this website and believe everything they read. Mary Ann Naumann
Clifton- NASA Race Director wants to let all drivers & teams that have pre-registered for the race, know they still need to go to the registration office to get a wrist band & their credentials. The registration office is on Hwy 6 @ the track! Friday night the gates open at 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Saturday 7:00 am registration office opens. Link to directions to TWS- Texas World Speedway, Inc. jamie37
Even though there are no hookups can we still camp in the pit area because we can always bring a generator. Or do we have to camp at one of those RV parks.

Mary Ann Naumann
Even though there are no hookups can we still camp in the pit area because we can always bring a generator. Or do we have to camp at one of those RV parks. jamie37, absolutely! That is part of the fun of the weekend, camping in the infield! NASA is hoping to put TSRS campers altogether in or near our pit area. The RV Park information was just information for those wanting hookups or dump stations. It is only 15.00 for camping @ the track for the entire weekend! If anyone is planning on arriving on Friday evening after 9:00 PM, call ahead and let them know @ the track # 979-690-2500. Mary Ann Naumann
We listened to our drivers and car owners, and we agree, so this will NOT be an impound race event and a reminder, we will weigh before qualifying and before the race event. See you @ Texas World Speedway!
