TSRS reschedules for Sept. 2; OI-75 to be run on July 15

 

Rain and wet grounds cancelled the races at Thunder Hill Raceway (THR) scheduled for tonight (July 2).

 

THR co-owners Mary Ann Naumann and Brian Callaway announced tonight the Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS) race scheduled for this evening will be added to the schedule of races on Sept. 2 at THR. The local classes scheduled for tonight – the A-Line Auto Parts Street Stocks, the THR Hobby Stocks and the THR Grand Stocks – will be rescheduled for a later date; information on that date will be announced soon.

 

The touring series scheduled for tonight – the Texas Pro Sedans, the Lone Star Legacys and the NASKARTS – will be rescheduled for another date as well.

 

“We thank everyone on the THR staff who worked so hard to get the races in tonight,” Naumann stated. “However, Mother Nature took over and we just couldn’t hold out hope any longer. We hope that everyone who traveled to Thunder Hill from various parts of the state have a safe drive home tonight.”

 

Naumann added, “Our Operation Interdependence festivities planned for tonight will take place on our next race date (Saturday, July 15). Also, fans who bought a ticket for tonight’s races can use their receipt for free admittance to a future regular-season race between now and the second week of September.” The receipt will not be good for any of THR’s post-season races on Sept. 30, Oct. 14-15 and Oct. 27-28.

 

K-MAC Sports Productions announced it would broadcast both the TSRS race and A-Line Auto Parts Street Stocks race scheduled for July 15 at THR. “We’re so sorry tonight’s races had to be rescheduled,” said K-MAC Sports co-owner Kevin McAdams. “However, we’ll be right back here in two weeks and broadcast both races. The K-MAC Sports crew was excited to give the Street Stocks some publicity tonight; we’ll be sure and give them their due in two weeks.”
