Kyle, TX (June 22, 2006) - Current Texas Super Racing Series point leader, Tommy Gural, and 2005 Series Champion, Chris Schild are separated by only ten (10) points as they prepare for this Saturday nights, June 24th, “Red, White and Blue 100” at Thunder Hill Raceway.

Both drivers have been dominate over the years at the 3/8 mile high banked oval. Gural has made six trips to victory lane with the series at Thunder Hill while Schild has one victory and five TXRacing.com Pole Awards in the last six visits to the track.

When the series last stopped at Thunder Hill Raceway in May, Gural won the race and took the points lead away from Schild. However, Schild recovered from a wreck in practice and an early race problem to fight his way back to a sixth place finish. With both drivers so close in points fans could see Schild regain the top spot in the standing if Gural has even the slightest of problems Saturday night.

The rest of the current Texas Super Racing Series Top 5 in points has Rookie of the Year candidate, Cody Smith only 74 points back. In 4th place, 83 points back, is Teresa Gural who is well on her way to becoming the first female driver to finish in the Top 10 season points for a late model touring series in Texas. Tied for the 5th spot 84 points back are Ian Webster and Bobby Joe New.
