Need to get some aggression out? Just want to see a bunch of cars crashed? The Texas Thunder Speedway is the place to be on Saturday night, June 17th. That is when the first of two Demolition Derbys take place. And to keep it an exiting and fun family night, all races that night will be features only. Demo drivers will be competing for a $1000 purse, plus an extra $100 for the best cartoon themed car. There is a $30 early registration fee, or it is only $40 on demo night. The fee will be waved if the driver gives the track the Owner's Title or Bill of Sale and leaves the car at the track. The rules are real simple. Must purchase Pit Pass/Band. No reinforcements whatsoever except in driver door only. All glass and moldings must be removed. All doors must be chained or welded shut. Safety belts, helmets and neck braces are required. Can move battery, but must be covered. Fenders may be trimmed and motors chained. May remove fan. Radiators must remain in stock position. Drivers seat can be braced. Must have fuel cell (boat tank) secured in trunk. NO trailer hitches or frame braces. NO locked or posi rear ends. NO cutting frames. NO trucks. NO solid/mud/implement type tires. Must be stock or don’t bring it! All cars will be teched. These are the rules; if it doesn’t say you can do it, then you can’t. Fire Extinguishers required. All vehicles must be removed from the track unless a Owner Title is left with the car. Must hit a moving car every two minutes. What could be easier? Go here to download the registration form. Tickets are $10 for Adults, $3 for kids 6-12 and kids under 6 are free. Season passes are available as well. New for fans this year is the ability to purchase their tickets online with a credit card. Just go to the Texas Thunder Speedway web site, and click on the “Buy and Print Tickets” button. Also you can use your Visa or Master Card in the tracks souvenir and concession stands.
