NickHolt
I believe the USRA Mods and Trucks have already been rescheduled to June 3. Nick Holt
USRA23TRUCK
That puts the 12 and the 2 out of the points race in the trucks also takes them away from kyle, but thats the way it is , no ones fault. but the effect of the rain is 2 less trucks for at least 3 0r 4 more races. prior engagments, cant change flight schedule. going to mexico for vacation so it will not be to bad. tqj3
Odd rescheduling, with THR set to race both May 27 and June 3. May 20 would look like a better choice.
Crazyhorse
that is what i thought.............we were kinda planning on running s.s. on the 3rd. oh well decisions?
TAMS boy
Odd rescheduling, with THR set to race both May 27 and June 3. May 20 would look like a better choice. There are a few different reasons for June 3rd... Nascar night races and high school graduations have hurt fan attendance. There is also a wide opening between races for mods and trucks at that point. The main reason though is next week Rick's mom is having surgery and he is leaving in the morning and will be with her in Florida. This was scheduled a long time ago and he will not be back until May 29th. Rescheduling events is never works out for all parties but some things are out of our hands. I wish we could have raced tonight but things don't always work out. Hope this helps yall understand and I look forward to seeing everyone on the 3rd. tqj3
If we're going to run scared from NASCAR night races and high school graduations, we might as well shut the tracks down now. While I sympathize with Rick's problem, he isn't essential to running the show. What should matter is both how it will affect the racers and how it will affect the rest of the season for the series. legacy47
puts us out of contention with the Legacy car, as we will be missing the THR race on the 3rd, but thats the price we pay, I really like that May 20th date, hmmmm maybe just maybe, well either way we will be there. Running scared?? Do you want us to shut the track down? Like I said rescheduling events always effects people. No matter when it just won't work for some team. I think canceling the race completely is not a good option. Under our circumstances June 3rd was a better fit. Also with 2 series and all the local classes I think Rick is needed since he has been calling the shots all year. JMO

I know of a few tracks you can purchase/lease in Texas and be the one making the decisions...................and taking all the flack.

NickHolt
Tams Boy/Nick/Rick, Please define the "our" in this "Under our circumstances" I don't want to read to deep into it. Back when the 2006 USRA/SAS schedule was being put together, the concept of three weeks off in May was discussed at length. But once the decision was made, Rick asked for those three weeks off to care for his mother (who lives out of state) who will be undergoing some serious surgery this week. Rick flies out this Monday morning and won't be back until the end of the month. I know that this is nobody's business by Rick's, but it certainly did play a major role in the decision to postpone the race until June 3rd. Someone brought up the scenario that USRA should just cancel the race and be done with it. Can you imagine the uproar that would have been produced if that decision had been made? It's one of those "no-win" decisions that track promoters have to make all the time. Of course, Rick's being gone was not the only consideration TD had to consider when deciding what to do about the rainout. I really don't know all that went into the decision, but I am sure that if you have a question for TD he will be more than willing to address you concern. Give him a call. Jason
Master of the Media? Wow someone sure is envious. TQ is right and there is ALWAYS something going on in SA. Last night the dirt track here in CC went against the Bud Days Parade and NASCAR. There was an ok turn out and the races were pretty good. Should they have been open? Well thats up to them. Good luck Rick. Hope you can turn that place around.

Jason
I will post what was deleted again. Jay you are as biased as they come. I didn't delete your signature. Bobby didn't. A buddy of yours did. Speaking of the truth. Why is Bobby Chaffee on the moderator approval list? Nick has to read and approve Bobby's posts before they are posted. Since when has he tried to start any trouble? Guess he knows to much!
NickHolt
Jason, Yes, I removed your post. but I did because in it you made a factual error that did not need to be made public. Despite your contention, Bobby Chaffee is not, nor has he ever been, on any sort of restriction here on TXSZ. He is, as you are, able to post on any and all TXSZ forums. In fact, until just a couple of weeks ago Bobby still had full moderator privileges on TXSZ. Out of respect to your long-term dedication to Texas Speed Zone, I emailed you privately to explain why I removed your post. Nick Holt
NickHolt
I went through all the moderator logs for the past year and discovered that another moderator put Bobby on the moderator approval list at the same time that he was removed as a TXSZ moderator on March 3. Bobby's posts no longer require moderator approval. Nick Holt
abrungot
wow.. when you read nicks last 2 posts you become extreamly confused? Bobby's posts no longer require moderator approval. Bobby Chaffee is not, nor has he ever been, on any sort of restriction here on TXSZ. guess i need to stay away from that Tea..

I knew I had not put either Jason or Bobby on the Moderator approval list. I went all the way back through my administrative actions over the past year to verify this. However, when I check the other moderators that were moderators at the time, I discoverd that another moderator had put Bobby on the Modertor approval list at the time when Bobby was removed as a TXSZ Moderator on March 3rd [note: I originally posted this date as March 6th - my mistake] When I discovered this afternoon that Bobby was indeed on that list, I removed the restriction. I hope this un-confused you. Nick Holt
