Racing family Toudouze proud of NFL draftee

Recommended Posts

Hey folks,

Just a note to let you know...

A local racing family celebrated some joy in this weekend's NFL draft.

John and Brenda Toudouze, the crew chief and car chief for the Sirizzotti Racing Team (Texas Super Racing Series), were overjoyed when their son, Michael Toudouze, was selected with the 162nd pick (in the 5th round) of the NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts.

Toudouze is a 6-foot-6, 310-pound lineman who played for TCU (Texas Christian University). The East Central High School graduate was drafted right where most draft experts projected him - in the fifth round.

Toudouze, who recently celebrated his 23rrd birthday on April 27, received all-San Antonio honors by the San Antonio Express News at East Central and was an all-district honoree. He started at tight end as a junior and at tackle as a senior. Toudouze was also an all-state discus thrower and he was coached by Mike Morgan.

The TCU Horned Frogs had the most selections (three) from the Mountain West Conference and were second in the state of Texas, behind only the University of Texas (six).
