It's time once again for another running of the Texas Mile on March 25th & 26th. Some people say it's the best kept secret in Texas. Land Speed racing just north of Beeville and a little south of Goliad. Should be some runs over 200MPH in the standing mile. I will shooting for 190 on my Hayabusa. You can see almost anything at the mile from exotic cars, turbo motorcycles and lakesters. Check out the web site for driving instructions. www.texasmile.com

MARCH 2006 HIGHLIGHTS

It was a wonderful and amazing weekend for the first Texas Mile event of the 2006 season in Goliad County, Texas. The weather was great and so were the many drivers and riders that came from many parts of Texas near and far. Some folks made their way from Colorado, Michigan, Arizona, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota.

Thank you for helping the Texas Mile become such a success and to the spectators that support our riders and drivers. We had 7 teams and 63 individuals for a total of 70 competitors. We had many compliments from the local spectators that we continue to provide the best in fun and safe entertainment for everyone.

The Goliad Chamber of Commerce welcomed our guest and we are thankful for their helping hand and greeting everyone.

Tech took forever.

Not to mention we got Teched then later when we went over 175MPH we were told to slow down due to no cage. We talked to one person and they said it was OK due to Vette having built in cage, then it got overruled... It was fine, only people didn't really seem to be talking to one another????? Oh well, new car coming...
