Guest noclutch
Does anyone know where to get the information on the purse structure for the ASA challenge series? Also, does anyone have any details on the TV deal. I read somewhere that NewWave Productions would shoot the races, produce a product and then sell it to advertisers which would take several months after the actual race? Things do not seem to be falling into place like they were hoping. Maybe this, coupled with the end of the Elite Series, will creat a boom for the CRA and USRA. HORSEPOWER
It sounds like only a few guys complaining, just like on any other message board. I think someone said if you can't race in this touring series(challenge), race another one. They have the North and South series and think they have 2 shoot outs where they both will race, I think that is good for the series. As for the Challenge Series, by adding dates a little further south, it will even out the playing field. Like the CRA, it is a great Series, but the furthest they go South is Nashville and I-70, bring them to Texas, Alabama, or Florida, but if they do that, they might get more whiners. This is their premier series, just like the Elite, CRA, Hooters, USRA, and others. Not everyone can race these series, but they still have a chance to make a few of the shows. The purse is very important for the teams that are wanting to race the full schedule and hopefully will match what other of the top series are paying out. Like the other series and weekly tracks, maybe they are still working on their own set of rules, purses, sponsors, schedules, hopefully they are out soon. lendo38
If I remember correctly, when the original ASA (I know it has nothing to do with ASALMS) came to HMP back in 2003, it did take a couple of months before the race aired on TV. It was really professionally done though.
