As we enter the week before Christmas, we need to keep Greg Davidson in our thoughts and prayers.

He is one of the legendary members of our Texas racing family, and he will be having major surgery on Monday, December 19th, at St. Lukes in Houston.

For those who don't know, he has a tumor on one of his kidneys, and the kidney will be removed.

I talked with Greg's son in law, Ralph Burris, at the Snowball, and he will help keep us updated on Greg's recovery.

Once again, Please keep Greg and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

To the Davidson Family ...............

I know that all of you will be at St. Luke's in Houston all day Monday waiting on the doctor to report to you a successful operation and his prediction and outlook regarding Greg's recovery.

Please do pass on his report in this forum so we can all heave a collective sigh of relief and uncross our fingers in wishing Greg through this critical time in his life and a speedy recovery from his surgery.

Greg,

We're all hoping that you are back racing real soon. That April ASA date is just around the corner and we're counting on you to show those ASA dudes what Texas racing is all about.

I know as tough and competive as greg and his family is he has already figured a way to beat everybody there out the front door, the doctor had better take a set of rules and a tec guy in with him or greg will have him questioning his procedures,,,,, get well soon and happy holidays leland waddell

Just got a call from Terry Dickerson who has been in regular contact with Ralph Burris and the Davidson family. According to Ralph, the Greg's surgery was very successful and "we all sighed a big sigh of relief."

Knowing Greg's dedication to the sport, Terry said, "I'm asking all area tracks to close their tracks for practice for the next three weeks because if we don't Greg will be out there with a IV still hooked up."

We all thank God the surgery went well and we now ask that his recovery is quick and complete.

Just spoke with Ryan (legend96) about 8:00, and he was just leaving the hospital, and everything was going perfectly. Greg is in recovery, and could go home as soon as Thursday. Just as we wanted to hear.

Knowing Greg, if he goes home Thursday, he'll be wanting to work on the car over Christmas Weekend.

The Davidson family would like to thank all who have left notes of concern and prayers for Greg. The surgery was a sucess, but there have been some complications that have slowed his progress. We are hopeful that he will be home for Christmas.

At this time, Greg is unable to take phone calls or visitors, but he is aware of what is being written on TXSZ. We appriciate all of you.
