  1. Mobile International Speedway debut is a wrap! Congrats to all that made the trip! Congratulations to Drew Simental on his victory! Congrats to Delbert May on his second place finish and to Mike Steinman on his third place finish. Next race in 5 days at Houston Motorsports Park. Special thanks to the entire Gulf Coast Racing Series crew for all they do!!
  2. First race of 2021 is a wrap! Qualifying practice rained out so line up was based off pill draw which made it interesting. 14 cars started the feature and put on a dang good 20 lap race. #73 Drew Simental pulled off a last lap pass with 2 to go catching #1 Ethan Barker at the exit of turn 4 with #7 James Remore Jr. crossing the finish line in 3rd. #54 Ty Hymel set fast time with a 16.646 lap! Thanks to all the Legacy guys and gals that made it to the season opener. Thanks to David David S. Duck and Tate Hymel for helping with the class. And a special thanks to Gina Schild-Knowles and Bo Knowles, the entire Gulf Coast Racing crew, HMP and countless others who make asphalt racing possible in the great state of Texas!
  3. Pro shock, QA1 7564 and Afco 1564 are the only approved shocks.
  4. The only other approved shock as of now is the Afco 1564 but you will have to purchase their hardware kit which can get pricey. I've been taking to a person from Bilstein shocks about a replacement shock. I believe the pro shock hardware kits are interchangeable with Bilstein so that helps keep cost down. No decision has been made yet on approving Bilstein just yet.
  5. Last race of the season is in the books! We successfully ran a 40 lap feature with all 14 cars driving off the track in one piece. Congrats to Allen Sampson on his dominating 1st place finish. Congrats to Ty Hymel, who set fast time with a blistering time of 16.493 on his way to a 2nd place finish. Drew Simental would finish 3rd, congrats to him as well. This season’s LSLRS championship goes to Ethan Barker!! Congratulations Ethan on your spectacular season! A special thanks to Allen Sampson with Sampson Performance Restoration, David Barker, Connie Duke and 4T4 Racing for their purse contributions! And a special thanks to Gina Schild Knowles, Rodney Rodriguez, HMP and the entire TSTRS crew for putting together a fantastic season, even with all the challenges that they had to overcome throughout the year! 17. Final points standings for the season. Congrats to Cade McKee on his championship win as well as taking rookie of the year honors. And once again thanks to all who raced with the class this year. Looking forward to 2020!
  18. Thanks for the kind words guys. But honestly it was a group effort. Without everyone's commitment and support there would be no Legacy class. Mr. Holt and Mr. James Huff revived this class a few years ago and when they decided it was time to step away it was heartbreaking for some us. Instead of letting the class fade away, a few others and myself decided it would be a shame to not carry on what Huff and Holt started. We have a diverse group of drivers with a mix of young guns, a few girls (who can hang with boys I might mention) and some older veterans that have been around the block but are still super competitive that really make this class enjoyable. Hope to see everyone back for the 2020 season.

  20. Congrats to all who came out and raced the season finale with the Texas Short Track Racing Series at Houston Motorsports Park yesterday. Congrats to Cade McKee on winning heat race #2, the feature and ultimately winning the 2019 Legacy championship. Thanks to all the drivers who stuck with the class during the entire 2019 season and all of our new drivers who came in throughout the year. We definitely had some growing pains but overall we have a great group of drivers and look forward to the continued growth of the Legacy class as well as what next season has in store for us and the entire asphalt racing network. Heartfelt thanks to Gina Schild Knowles, Brad Bush, Tiffany Vogel, Rodney Rodriguez and all the others working hard behind the scene to create an opportunity for us to race and live out our passion for racing. Big thanks to the HMP staff as well, we are looking forward to 2020!
