  1. Nice to see that 41 of Wade Jones pop up in the results. Has he been gone awhile or I just haven’t paid close enough attention?
  2. Good to see you back around HT.
  3. I agree, with all the success WoO has had over the years, the high limit deal appears to be a very formidable deal. I typically believe when things of this nature takes place, it is usually born out of animosity. I’m curious to know what that was.
  4. I’m curious to see what WoO looks like in a year or 2 after high limit really gets established. I feel that in a year or 2 high limit is going to have some nice stacked purse money.
  5. I saw these guys race at Cotton Bowl last season. Fun to watch, wonder is the class has grown over the offseason.
  6. Thanks to whoever was the brain trust behind adding this schedule thread/category. For the simpler folk like me who don’t do much social media it is much appreciated.
  7. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well AROB.
  8. Hey Reb, what else is on the lineup at TMS for the 2 dates in October? Big payout on the 12th for sure. I was normally there for the fall nascar race. This fits in my schedule.
  9. I wish I was as dumb as Richard Childress.
  10. I am not defending Hill or Creed, probably safe to say there is/was enough blame to spread around between both drivers on that deal. But there is probably a couple of hundred thousand reasons for Childress to be upset. And that in itself may give him the right to respond how he chooses. And I don't consider Childress's Xfinity program to be junk. They race for titles within that program. Say what you will about the Cup side, but the xfinity stuff has always been pretty good.
  11. I'm pretty sure Childress is well within his right to be a little jacked up over that deal. 2 of his cars running 1 and 2, neither one of them win. One of the cars is going to have to be winched on the hauler. Neither one of them advance to the round of 4 to race for a title. At the end of the day they race for titles, trophies, and money, that sequence of events there nixed a title, a trophy, and first and 2nd place pay window money, and i'm sure a bunch of money as well on end of year finishing order.
  12. It’s a great track. Hopefully Mary Ann sticks with it.
  13. Well said, but I would like to add, if you think as a promoter you are putting out the information to all involved on the Facebook, that couldn’t be further from reality. Now that you mention John, the place was well cared for during that stretch. It was magical, done well enough they had a pretty decent radio ad budget. Good times back then. I think Mr Owen will bring stability to the place. That’s what it needs for a couple years then it will explode.
  14. That’s a very promising interview right there. The place is in desperate need a stability. It’s seem it may have showed up midway into this season. When HMP was in the able and capable hands of John M, it was an electric place to go to the races. With full fields of trucks and modifieds, and good car counts across the rest of the classes. I was only able to make 2 races there this season, and am out of town for work right now and won’t make this weekend. But I can appreciate Mr Owens desire to not over saturate the schedule. Just stabilize it and it will take off, I’ve seen it before there.
  15. I can understand that. I have no idea how many people log onto this forum. I don’t do the face book deal, but it seems to me this would be a simple universal spot to throw some information on about the upcoming activities at any given track.
  16. This particular forum is completely neglected by the promoters. It’s unreal.
  17. 105 was packed Saturday night. They had a pretty lengthy delay to get the racing started, the ambulance had to take a spectator off the grounds for some sort of treatment. Had to wait for it to get back on the grounds. So it turned into a bit of a long night. They have a pretty good sized grandstand in the pit area, it was full as well as the main grandstand. Track was in perfect shape to start the races for as hot and dry as it is up here.
  18. Well he was on rails Saturday night. After the limited race, they stopped all the cars that finished the feature on the front stretch, and all the drivers got out and did a group photo with Howard Willis. The 91 parked close to where I was sitting and I could tell he was a pretty young fella. the thing that surprised me the most is that when you have that many cars show up in one class, that creates a pretty stout field top to bottom in the A Main. It was an impressive run he had for sure.
  19. Arob I haven’t seen him race probably as much as you have, but I have seen him race a couple different classes at Cotton Bowl. But the run he made Saturday through that stout of a field was fun to watch. The track was really rubbered up when they ran their feature, and he had that 91 hooked up on the bottom of the track. Looks like he might be pretty young as well?
  20. I was there, the 91 was incredibly fast, made a great run through the field. Not sure he would have been able to get around the 9 or not if he would have had a few more laps. The 9 led green to checkers, that usually happens for a reason.
  21. I don’t remember it happening up there in the past. Happened last time I was up there. But there are pulling a bunch of cars as well these days. May have something to do with it. But I’m a double file restart guy myself. And I like the fact that the scoring pylon and lap counter works at 105.
