WEBB CONTINUES UNBEATEN AT LIL’ TEXAS

 

FORT WORTH (June 25, 2005) – Jordan Webb turned win number 13 on the season into one of luck Saturday night at Lil’ Texas Motor Speedway as the youngster remained undefeated for the 2005 racing season in Bandolero Bandits action.

 

 

Other winners on the program included point leader Michael Dabney (Legends Pro), Gene Conley (Legends Master), Steven Abbey (Legends Semi-Pro), Chad Hertle (Legends Charger), Randy Miles (Thunder Roadster) and Kyle Curry (Bandolero Young Gun).

 

 

Webb took command on the third of the 20-lap feature when Kyle Lovejoy and Jake Kruger tangled while battling for the lead. Travis Robinson posted his best finish of the season in the runner-up position.

 

 

Dabney took the Legends Pro lead at the start of his feature, lost the top spot to John Gottsacker on lap four but regained the top spot for good a lap later. Summer Shootout point leader Hoyt Richter finished one car length behind at the checkered.

 

 

Conley won his third Legends Masters feature of the Lil’ Texas season in five starts, taking the lead on the second lap and holding a comfortable margin at the finish over Don Barnard.

 

 

Abbey’s first 2005 Legends Semi-Pro victory came as he took command for good on the 23rd circuit of the 25-lap event, overtaking point leader Jordan Cox. James Buescher finished second ahead of Cox in an event that featured four lead changes.

 

 

Hertle’s victory came in his inaugural outing at Lil’ Texas. Miles’ fifth Thunder Roadster victory of the campaign came in a wire-to-wire efforts. Curry won his third straight Bandolero Young Gun feature.

 

 

Saturday night’s race program moves to the quarter-mile paved oval inside Texas Motor Speedway for the INEX RACEceiver National Touring Series. Legends Cars, Bandoleros and Thunder Roadsters will compete.

 

 

Fans can enter the speedway’s South Tunnel to attend the program. Spectator admission begins at 6 p.m. with the first race to get the green flag at 7:30 p.m. A 50-lap Legends Cars feature starting 30 cars will highlight the program. Admission remains just $5 for adults, $2 for children 7 to 11 and free to kids under 7.
