Austin Wayne Self Pre-Race Quotes:

On Charlotte Motor Speedway: “Obviously, it’s very nice to run in the backyard of our AM Racing team at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Traditionally over the years, Charlotte hasn’t been the best of race tracks for me, but I’m excited to have Ryan calling the shots and see what he can do to help improve our performance. Things are going very well with our AM Racing team and I’m hopeful we can continue that pace with our No. 22 GO TEXAN | AM Technical Solutions Chevrolet on Friday night.”

On Circuit of the Americas: “It certainly was a challenging race in the rain, but as a team, we fought the battle and came out with a decent finish at Circuit of the Americas. We had some issues on pit road that may have hindered our finish a little bit, but that’s just part of racing sometimes. We’ll take this solid finish our group and charge forward to Charlotte and hope for a top-10 finish.”

On 2021 Season: “We are right there on the cusp of making the Truck Series Playoffs. It’s going to take a lot of work, but we have made great progress so far during the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

“We’ve been very solid to the start of 2021, we just need to keep after it and hope we’re able to produce more of the same or even bigger results into the upcoming summer stretch.”
