Here are complete event details:

Kilgore, TX (04/15/19) - The 360C.I. NCRA Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) series 2019 ‘DARE TO BE DIFFERENT’ Tour is headed to the 1/3-mile high banks of LoneStar Speedway (LSS) near Kilgore THIS SATURDAY, April 20th with the annual running of the Bunny Hop 25. The night will kick off with the SCB Fan Fest behind the grandstands from 6-6:45pm, followed by the annual massive Easter Egg Hunt for the kids (race teams: please bring filled eggs to add to the huge eggstravaganza!).

:30 LSS 2018 Series Finale REWIND: The last time the Sprint Car Bandits were at LoneStar Speedway was September 29th, and the feature race was full of ‘typical’ LoneStar action. And when I say typical, I mean full of excitement…which is the norm at LoneStar when the sprint cars hit the high banks! Scott Evans and Michael Day would pace the 21-car starting field early on, with a hungry Marcus Thomas in tow. Marcus had just returned to racing after a near career ending crash last May in Louisiana. Thomas would take command of the 25-lapper mid-way through and then disaster struck with two laps to go. Thomas was hammer down on the fast slurpy clay surface when two lapped cars directly in front of him were racing side-by-side, and both he and Michael Day closed at a rate so fast that they had to get on the binders enough that they made contact, resulting with Thomas knocking down his left rear tire. The green would remain out the final two laps, with Thomas limping to the pits, while Day would take home the $2,000 win.

RACE FANS: Make plans to arrive early at the track to take in the pre-race Sprint Car Bandits “Fierce 15” Fan Fest! It will take place directly next to the main ticket window from 6pm until about 6:45pm. There, you can meet the drivers of the Fierce 15, get selfies, purchase their 2019 t-shirt designs (get them autographed!) and get a good close look at the cars. SCB Fan Fest is an effort to help sprint car racing get back to the good ‘ol days when there was generally more fan interaction with the race teams. Back then it was common for most of the fans to go to the pits after the races to meet with the teams, and now in many cases the races at tracks don’t finish in time to make that feasible. This is an effort to fire back up that interaction by simply flipping the timing element. Pre-race Fan Fest will take place at every SCB series event in 2019.

If you’d like to get your brand new Fierce 15 driver t-shirts prior to Fan Fest, the new online store at www.SprintCarBandits.com is now open. Reminder, that proceeds from Fierce 15 driver apparel benefits each individual driver that is a part of the program, so please show your support by grabbing one when you can...and your support will help drivers better funded throughout the season.

The following drivers make up the 2019 Sprint Car Bandits Fierce 15 and will be competing for added money for their support of the series: Colby Estes, Michael Day, Claud Estes III, Dalton Stevens, Scott Evans, Chance McCrary, Dale Wester, Junior Jenkins, Cody Hall, Josh Hawkins, Casey Burkham, Steve McMackin, Will Eggimann, Mark Zoeller and Mark Huddleston. Fans can expect to see these drivers competing in 2019 Sprint Car Bandits series events, along with any eligible sprint car driver that chooses to on a night-to-night basis, just as in previous seasons. Drivers interested in the Sprint Car Bandits Fierce 15 program can contact SprintCarBandits@outlook.com for additional information.

LoneStar Speedway is located at 3131 FM 1252 Kilgore, TX 75662, Track Phone on race day is: (903)-986-9731. Specifically, if you are on I-20 (either direction) take Exit 583 and head north to the 4-way stop light (about 1/2 mile). Go east (right) about 1 mile and you will see the track entrance on the south (right) side of the road. RACE TEAMS: all sprint car teams that sign in will draw for heat race starting positions, regardless of their engine C.I. displacement (up to and including 360C.I.) and will receive passing points to determine their straight-up from points feature race starting position. All drivers make sure to read the posted rules at the series website prior to heading to the track.

Here’s the purse structure for the SCB championship feature: $2,000 – 1,000 – 600 – 500 – 400 – 390 – 380 – 370 – 360 – 350 – 340 – 330 – 320 – 310 – 300…to start. All non-qualifiers or non-starters will each receive $100. There is no entry fee, no series membership fee and a $20 nightly draw fee. Drivers should go to www.SprintCarBandits.com prior to arrival for complete rules, purse and procedures information.

$500 POLE SCRAMBLE ADDED: Tommy Bryant of Cabinets By Tommy LLC in Granbury Texas has stepped up to provide the NCRA 360C.I. Sprint Car Bandits drivers a sizable bonus for the April 20th series event coming to LoneStar Speedway (near Kilgore, TX – Exit 583 & I-20), with the Cabinets by Tommy LLC $500 Pole Scramble!

SBC :30 SECOND REWIND: During the past 17 Sprint Car Bandits events (dating back to the first event of 2018, through today), there have been 14 different feature winners – which is pretty incredible. This factoid is a further testament of just how well the SCB series rules work and how deep the competition is throughout the field of drivers. And only 4 of those 17 feature winners actually started from the pole position in the feature event, which shows how much actual racing goes on at our series events!

That being said, here’s how the Cabinets by Tommy LLC $500 Pole Scramble will work at LoneStar Speedway on Saturday, April 20th:

All SCB teams will draw in and qualify in their heat races as normal, with normal series passing points.

At the conclusion of the heat races, finishing points plus passing points will be added up for each driver (as always), and the top 6 in overall points after the heat races will advance to the Cabinets by Tommy LLC $500 Pole Scramble.

The 5-lap Pole Scramble will be lined up straight up by overall heat race points, and the winner will take home an additional $500 from Cabinets by Tommy LLC!

In addition, the finishing order of the Pole Scramble will become the lineup for the first 3 rows of that night’s 25-lap championship feature event.

The balance of the feature field will be as normal, which is straight up by heat race points for drivers finishing 7th through 16th. The remaining cars will come from the B-feature (which is also lined straight up by finishing points 17th (on the pole of the B) through the last remaining car in the field).

In light of the fact that all Sprint Car Bandits feature race lineups have always been straight up (no dreaded redraws), this will add a real interesting twist.

For example, at the last SCB event, heat race pole sitter Channin Tankersley started on the pole of his heat race and blistered the field. However, there were several other drivers that earned more total points than him at the end of the heats, so Channin was slated to line up 6th in the feature event.

Now, with the advent of the Cabinets by Tommy LLC $500 Pole Scramble, a driver like that now has a chance to pass more cars to improve their starting spot in the feature…and the winner is going to collect a $500 bonus, to boot! It should be a lot of fun and make for added excitement for the race fans.

MORE ABOUT THE SPONSOR, Cabinets by Tommy LLC: Tommy Bryant is the company head, which is based out of Granbury Texas (southwest of Ft. Worth). Many of you know his daughter through sprint car racing, which is Britany Bryant that drove the beautiful #99B car at select Sprint Car Bandits events in the past. Cabinets by Tommy LLC is an extremely popular service-providing company for many homeowners throughout the Metroplex area, and they can be reached at TommysCabinets@outlook.com or by phoning 817-991-0659. Tommy, Britany and crew will be on hand to meet with racers and the fans at the Pre-Race Fan Fest at LoneStar, taking place at 6-6:45pm in the grandstand area on April 20th.

PLUS KOOL TRIKES $100 HEAT RACE BONUSES: Kool Trikes out of Clarksville Texas (east of Paris on Hwy 82) is a manufacturer of independent suspension trike conversion kits exclusively for Harley Davidson motorcycles. Kool Trikes offers kits to convert your two-wheel Harley Davidson motorcycle to a three-wheeler. They have kits for every popular Harley model as well as an independent suspension upgrade for the Harley factory Tri Glides as well.

Last year Kool Trikes was an associate sponsor on Sammy Swindell's sprint car for the Knoxville Nationals, but this year Kool Trikes founder Randy Butler has decided to go back to his roots and sponsor events to help support local racers and the racing community, and has formed an alliance with the 360C.I. Sprint Car Bandits Series based out of DFW.

Kool Trikes was created 11 years ago by long-time sprint car and winged super modified driver Randy Butler. Many of you fans will remember his great looking #5 sprinter that competed in a variety of series events, such as the IRA, WoO and ASCoC. A few years after sustaining career ending injuries at Knoxville in 1998 he decided that he wanted a motorcycle again. Problem was suffering from occasional bouts of vertigo riding a two-wheeler was just to unsafe.

Randy started looking into three-wheelers, or as they are known, trikes. He could see a need for trikes in general and became a dealer for three national brands. Problem was he couldn't find a trike that met his quality standards in ride, handling, and fit and finish expectations. Riding a trike just wasn't as fun as it should have been. Randy decided to build a better mouse trap so to speak...and Kool Trikes was born.

To contact Kool Trikes, visit them at www.KoolTrikes.com and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Kool-Trikes-353958338031966

Plus, you can visit with Randy in the Sprint Car Bandits pre-race Fan Fest at LoneStar Speedway on Saturday, April 20th and at 82 Speedway on Saturday, April 27th. See posted event flyers for details such as times and locations. Randy will have a Kool Trikes unit on display in the Fan Fest area.

Additionally, for those two specific Sprint Car Bandits series events, all of the sprint car heat races will be renamed the Sprint Car Bandits Kool Trikes Heat Races, each paying $100/win from Kool Trikes!

This event is also part of the www.SmileysRacing.com 4 Pack Bonus program that awards the SCB Fierce 15 teams with added bonus money, paid out for their support of the Series in increments of each ‘4 Pack’ of SCB events completed throughout the season. More details are posted at the series website.

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT: Why are we calling this season the ‘DARE TO BE DIFFERENT’ tour? The SCB series has a unique rules package that allows teams to use their current equipment (especially in the engine compartment) yet curbing nightly tire expense...which helps equalize the competition with teams of varying budget sizes. The SCB “20° wing angle rule” also helps by freeing up the cars to be able to pass easier in many cases that also helps reduce excess tire and engine wear. Our ‘one rear tire all night long’ rule has not only saved racers thousands of dollars over the past three years, but to date, we’ve yet to have one tire fail (blow) due to excess tire wear in any feature race we’ve held.

All these small, yet effective changes, have been accomplished without the racers having to purchase something out of the ordinary. And we essentially haven’t changed the rules since the inception of the series at the end of 2015.

And let’s face it, since the events of 9/11/2001, a lot of the economics of the sport of dirt track racing have changed drastically (especially the cost of travel, track insurance, general crowd sizes, cost of racing components), yet there really hasn’t been much being done on a nationwide level to help counteract those economic impacts. We aren’t trying to say we’ve ‘fixed’ all those impacts, but at least we are doing something to help curb racer expenses – and it’s working.

Our rules package certainly has made for exciting and unpredictable racing outcomes – as there were 13 different feature winners in 16 SCB events in 2018 – and we already had a brand new first-time winner at our opening event of 2019, so that makes 14 different winners the past 17 events! When you add these components together, that’s a result of why we DARE TO BE DIFFERENT.
