Reutzel Ready to Roll the Dice with a World of Outlaws Double in Vegas

by Lonnie Wheatley

CLUTE, Texas (February 27, 2019) – Aaron Reutzel and the Baughman-Reutzel Motorsports No. 87 Sprint Car team are ready to get back to action with the NOS Energy Drinks World of Outlaws Sprint Car series with a pair of events at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas.

Reutzel and the Folkens Brothers Trucking/Dissolvalloy Downhole Revolution Triple-X team take to the dirt track in Nevada on both Wednesday and Thursday before rolling on westward to take in the California portion of the World of Outlaws tour over the month of March.

“We’re looking forward to it, these are a bunch of fun tracks to race at beginning with Las Vegas,” the driver of the Precision Catalyst/Hollywood Blasting & Coating/Beard Equipment entry commented.

The Dirt Track at Las Vegas is where it all started for the BRM No. 87 in 2018, as the team debuted at last year’s event following a weekend washout in Texas that was repeated last weekend.

Last year’s debut was a good one, with the Nattress Construction/Momentum Racing Suspensions team leaving Las Vegas with a top-five finish.

“It got us off on the right foot and really set the tone for the season,” Reutzel said of the season that ultimately led to the All Star Circuit of Champions title.

This time around, Reutzel and crew already have some laps in with several nights of Florida competition including the opening two nights of World of Outlaws action that have the Clute, TX, native sitting seventh in series points.

“We had a decent enough start in Florida,” Reutzel says.  “We got things to where they needed to be by the last night, now we just need to take that out west and keep improving upon it.”

It begins Wednesday night at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas.

2019 Quick Stats:  9 races, 4 top-tens.

Next Up:  World of Outlaws Sprint Cars at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas (NV) on Wednesday and Thursday (February 27 and 28).
