Crime of the Week - May 2, 2018

The Atascosa County Sheriff’s Department along with Crime Stoppers is hoping that a reward of up to FIVE THOUSAND-DOLLARS being offered for one week only will help solve a theft that occurred at IH37 Speedway located in the 100000 block of IH 37, 7 miles south of the city of Pleasanton.

On April 22, 2018 at around 9:30 am sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the IH37 Speedway located in the 100000 block of IH 37 for the theft of two ATV’s and other items. Deputies made contact with the property manager who stated that they left the property on April 21, 2018 at 10:00 pm and when they returned on March 28, 2018 at 9:30 am they discovered the theft. Deputies were informed that the property was removed through a fence on the northwest corner of the property. Stolen property consisted of a blue and white in color 1000cc crew cab 2017 Polaris Ranger ATV, an 800cc crew cab olive green in color Polaris Ranger ATV, a light blue in color 1990 Chevy or GMC pickup, a set of Intercomp electronic scales, a set of rims and tires for an ATV, a Snapon bore scope and a carburetor gauge. The estimated value of the stolen property was over $30,000.00.

Sheriff’s investigators have some leads in this case and are in need of your assistance to help solve it.
