NickHolt Posted March 1, 2018 Report Share Posted March 1, 2018 Officials from the South Texas Speedway have announced the 2018 season points fund for competitors racing in the upcoming campaign. Once again South Texas Speedway will have a three race Championship Chase to be staged September 29th, October 13th and October 27th. Qualification for the Championship Chase will be based on the following criteria. Any driver who has perfect attendance during the regular season will automatically be in The Championship Chase this season. Drivers will earn two Championship Chase points for each win they attain during the 2018 regular season and will begin the Championship Chase as such. Points will be reset for all qualified drivers in each division beginning with the Chase opener on 9/29. Four racing divisions will again take part in the Championship Chase Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, EMods and Street Stocks. As of this writing this is the starting Chase payout however it is our hope that dollar figure will increase based on participation and fundraising support throughout the season.
