Have a 2009 chevy 3500, I just bought a couple months ago, anyway. Message in info window says TRAILER BRAKING SYSTEM NEEDS SERVICE has anyone come across this before and if so what H---- are they talking about? It does have the factory brake controller built-in.

Mine did the same thing. It sensed something wrong with the trailer. I cleared it with my programmer and haven't had the code since.

look the code up to see what it says is the problem.  also after you clear it if it doesn't come back then it may just be a glitch.
