Prayers for Greg Davidson

Recommended Posts

Peggy Davidson posted the following on FB yesterday:

Well, I wanted to wait until after our son finished racing today to let everyone know that Greg will have surgery tomorrow to have his left leg amputated above the knee. We’ve tried for the past year to save it and just wasn’t meant to be. We are asking everyone to keep our family in mind when you say your prayers tonight. Prayers in the morning would also be appreciated 2764.png❤️

Sending lots of prayers for Greg and Peggy as he goes through surgery today.

Greg Davidson drove his familiar #96 and was a regular and consistent competitor during most of the 134 races on the TIDA Late Model Series circuit.

Greg Davidson won 5 TIDA-LM events as follows:

August 17, 1991 - Corpus Christi Speedway <> 50 laps

October 30, 1993 - Corpus Christi Speedway <> 125 laps

July 3, 1994 - Sooner International Raceway/Altus, OK <> 100 laps

September 14, 1996 - River City Raceway, (aka San Antonio Speedway) <> 100 laps

September 21, 1997 - San Antonio Speedway <> 100 laps

Speaking in behalf of his fellow TIDA-LM and Texas Race of Champions competitors and all TIDA & TROC Officials, Greg we sympathize with the loss of your left leg. We also try to understand the anguish which Peggy, Heather, Chris and all the Davidson family must have gone through during the past months and particularly this week.

We send our best wishes for your speedy recovery and to a very good race car driver … Greg Davidson

Ditto to what Mr. Upchurch said. I can say my best memories of asphalt Late Model racing #96 is in all of them. Best wishes and a speedy recovery to Mr. Davidson.
