Adams and Becker fastest on final WISSOTA 100 qualifying night

Friday was the final night to qualify for the WISSOTA 100 championship events at the Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, South Dakota. Chad Becker bested the Late Model contingent and Buzzy Adams was the class of the field in the Modifieds.

Becker fired from the outside pole in his MB Customs, on the freshly prepared surface, and jumped out front. Once in lapped traffic he lost the lead momentarily to Ricky Weis, but he was able to put his #12 back out front quickly. The win will put Becker in the middle of the front row of the $10,000 to win main event. Joining him will be Wednesday's winner, Lance Mathees and Thursday's victor Jeff Provinzino.

Friday was a night of redemption for reigning WISSOTA 100 Modified winner Buzzy Adams. After two forgettable nights, trying to make his way in, Adams dominated the Modified portion and completes Saturday's three wide front row. His fellow front row starters are Don Eischens and Tim Johnson, who won previous qualifying night features.

Other winners include; Tim Johnson – Super Stock, Randy Klein – Midwest Mod, Jordan Tollakson – Street Stock and Tyler Larson – Mod Four.

Racing begins tonight at 5 PM.  Saturday also features the annual Parade of Champions and Orv's Pot of Gold $10,000 giveaway to one lucky driver. Saturday also marks the end of an era as long-time Dakota State Fair Speedway promoter Orville Chenoweth, oversees his final night of action, before stepping away from full-time promotional duties.
