Update on the Texas Asphalt Racing Series at Houston Motorsports Park

We wanted to let you all know what is going on with the TARS at HMP in regards to the July 8^th race.

 

First, we are only pre-registering the support classes that can bring us a list of 15 or more drivers and their pre-registration money in order to lock in their spot for the July race. We have one class locked in, the NASKARTS, and we will lock in one to two more classes. Any supporting class that can pay the registration fee, plus one pit pass fee per driver, for 15 or more drivers 30 days prior to the event will be locked into the race.

 

We have posted the Pro Modified, Pro Late Model, and Pro Truck Rules to the Facebook page and we will post them to LoneStar Speedzone shortly. We also have posted the Super Stock rules which we will be revising shortly because we heard all your concerns and are making the adjustments.

 

The Outlaws class will run the Pensacola rules as a separate class if they can pre-register 15 or more drivers by May 8^th. If there are less than 15 drivers, the Outlaws will be allowed to race with the Super Stocks with a weight penalty (which has yet to be determined) or they can choose to run with the Late Models.

 

We are hoping to go live with our website this weekend. It will have all the rules and forms posted. We will also post the registration forms for the July 8^th race. However, we won’t start taking the registration forms and payments until at least mid-May.

Purses will be posted soon. We are working on several things that go into determining the money for the purses so please be patient with us.
