It's race week at "Slide Job City," LoneStar Speedway, Saturday April 22nd 7pm:

 

NCRA Sprint Car Bandits presented by Blaine's Motor Supply returns to blister the high banks with 700HP Winged Sprint Car racing - Paying $2,250/win, $1,250 for 2nd, and solid payback all the way through 20th ($350).

 

Plus it's a huge night of racing with added purses in the LoneStar Modifieds ($1,200/win), Factory Stocks ($500/win), Limited Modifieds ($700/win)...and we'll round out the 5-division event with the FWD 4-Cylinders racing for added purse as well.

The Pit Area on April 22nd will open by 3pm (*weather pending* teams can arrive much earlier, if desired, but we'll clear out pits just prior to opening), Grandstands open at 5pm, Draw Cutoff 6:15pm, Pit Meeting 6:30pm, then Track Packing/Hot Laps at 6:45pm...racing to follow immediately.

 

Grandstand admission: Ages 5 and under are free (with adult admission), Ages 6-11 are just $5, and Ages 12-64 are $17. Seniors/Military $15. You can upgrade any grandstand admission ticket to the reserved section (bucket seats) for $5/ticket upon your entrance to the reserved section. All Pit Passes all ages are $35.

 

NOTE: We are also aware that a weather system is slated to go through the region on Friday night into Saturday morning. We will continue to monitor it and let everyone know on Saturday morning if it affected us. The good news is NOAA is saying that it should be over with before anyone needs to start heading to the track. As long as the timing of the system stays about the same we should know by late morning on Saturday where things are at regarding the racing program - and reminder - this is a dirt track and we have to put thousands and thousands of gallons of water on the track anyway, so it just all depends on how it plays out. We will keep everyone well advised on Saturday morning....and thanks in advance for your patience!

This is one of the biggest points nights of the season at LoneStar Speedway (LSS) with over $18,000 in cash being paid out to race teams, and without any driver Entry Fees!

 

Trisha and Robert Taylor have stepped up to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, and also helping to increase the competitor purse in the LSS points divisions for this special night of racing.

 

On April 26, 2010 Trisha and Robert Taylor received the call that forever changed their lives, as their daughter Alex had been in an accident and was being taken by air flight to East Texas Medical Center, and would not survive her injuries. The accident was attributed to texting and driving.

 

Robert is veteran LoneStar Speedway driver, along with his wife Trisha, continue to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, at their Facebook page titled For the Love of Alex Stop Texting and Driving.

No outside food/drink coolers are allowed inside; a full selection of economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available.

 

Adult grandstand general admission (ages 12-64) to this massive event is just $15! Ages 6-11 are $5, while ages 65+ and military will be $12. All pit passes for all ages are $35. All tickets are sold at the ticket window on race day when you arrive.

 

Action fires off Saturday April 29th at 7PM. The Pit Gate will open by 3pm, while the main grandstand area will open by 5:30pm. The driver's draw cut-off for heat races is 6:15pm, with a driver's meeting set for 6:45pm. Track packing and Hot laps are slated for 7pm & racing to follow immediately.
